Notes to be pointed
- All general presentations will be held in the poster session. There will be an oral session for post-doctoral students organized by the "Young Researchers Committee for Biotechnology" forum. The selected presenters will be asked to make an oral presentation as well as a poster presetnation.
- Poster presentations will be accepted from active or student members of the Society who have paid their membership dues for 2016.
- Each member may make one poster presentation.
- Speakers must register for the meeting online before abstract submission.
⇒Abstract Submission Procedures
- No modifications can be made after 12 noon on June 1, 2016. It is the responsibility of the submitting author to supply the abstract with accuracy of content, spelling and presentation. The abstracts will be published exactly as submitted.
- Avoid red-green combination on you poster—members of your audience may be red/green colorblind.
- Speakers will be informed of their presentation numbers with its schedule and place by e-mail at the end of June, 2016.
Guidelines for abstract submission (for Poster presentation)
- Character count limit (including spaces)
Abstract: 1,540 characters
Title: 100 characters
Author information (names and affiliation abbreviations): 280 characters - Title of presentation
Avoid any abbreviation in the title. Do not put a period at the end.
(Only first letter capital and lowercase for the rest, except for words normally capitalized as proper nouns)
e.g.) Heat-shock transformation of <i>Escherichia coli</i>
- Author names
Enter surname of each author first, followed by first name and middle name (if any), for the indexing purpose, with only the first letter capitalized.
e.g.) Seibutsu Taro
- Affiliation abbreviation

The Society regards the annual meeting as an important "seeding" opportunity for members from industry, academia and governmental institutions. It aims to facilitate the dissemination of research seeds as widely as possible through members' presentations and reports in the mass media. Please indicate your preference for seeding.
