Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the SBJ 2009 Organizing Committee, I am very pleased to invite you to the 61st Annual Meeting of the Society of Biotechnology, Japan (SBJ), which will be held in Nagoya University, Higashiyama Campus, from September 23 through 25, 2009.
To seek public participation, we have chosen 19 symposium topics proposed by our active members, which cover the latest research on industrial use of biotechnology, including next-generation sequence, post-genome network, post-transcriptomics, and system biotechnology as well as conventional fields relating to environment, resources, and fermentation. This broad range of topics will be lined up for the last day of the meeting (September 25, 2009) to enhance the practical value of our program.
As for general presentations, we revised categories for abstract submissions to encompass multiple facets of recent research fields. LCD projectors will be available in each session room, and we would kindly ask all presenters to bring their own PC to the site.
We strongly encourage all participants to take advantage of this special occasion to exchange ideas and results of the latest development and form a new network of active researchers.
We look forward to welcoming you all in Nagoya in September, 2009.
Hiroyuki Honda
Chairman
The Organizing Committee of 61st SBJ Annual Meeting 2009, Nagoya, Japan
