After 4 years as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB), Professor Noriho Kamiya handed over the editorship to Professor Akira Ito.

Under the leadership of Prof. Kamiya, JBB's Impact Factor for 2021 is 3.185, the highest ever. The Society would like to thank Professor Kamiya for his hard work and commitment to the journal.

11 editors left the editorial board after their 4-year-term on May 31, 2023. We sincerely thank them for their dedication and tireless efforts to improve the publication of JBB.
