The value of microbial resources is being reconsidered due to the development of next-generation sequencing and IT technologies. Inviting next-generation researchers who will take the leadership in the fields of Asian microbiology, we will discuss utilization of culture collections that have unique microbial resources of the Asian region, international cooperation, and human resource education. We will also consider the international activities that SBJ can carry out.
