[Message as a prize winner]

I am extremely happy and honored to be selected as the winner of this year’s Young Asian Biotechnologist Prize by the Society for Biotechnology, Japan (SBJ). This prestigious award has definitely motivated and inspired me to continue working smartly to establish my research in Microalgae Technology so that it can be more beneficial to the society. I am sure that this award will open more doors for collaboration with many excellent researchers in Japan through the SBJ. I also would like to thank my mentor, Prof. Masahiro TAKAGI, for nominating me as well as to all my teammates at UNM and KU. I would have not reached this new milestone in my career without their support.
